An ongoing specialist workshop focused on writing for the children’s market. In this group we’ll experiment with writing in a range of genres and for all ages from babies to teenagers. 

The first hour will be focused on writing exercises to generate new writing with input from Beverley on the different aspects of writing for children and the second half will be a feedback session for works in progress. 

Beverley Ward is a writer, facilitator, coach and the Writing Curator of the Writers’ Hub at Kurious Collective. in 2013 she won a Northern Writers Award for her Young Adult novel, Straight on Till Morning and in 2015 she was commissioned to write Archie Nolan: Family Detective by the Donor Conception Network. She was the founder of the Sheffield Young Writers project and has been a consultant working with young people on behalf of The Reading Agency, Book Trust and the National Literacy Trust. She also runs Writing Clubs for children. and blogs for The Huffington Post. Her memoir, Dear Blacksmith, is due to be published by Valley Press in January 2020.
